A Community of Friends

Tells the inspiring story about the Chinatown Branch Library in Downtown Los Angeles, founded in by a "community of friends" who realized their dreams of a public library in their neighborhood  in 1977, after the lobbying the LA City Council and rallying the Chinese American community for seven years. Premiere, 2012. ​

homecoming

Weaving old family photos and Super 8 film footage with contemporary videos, Homecoming recounts the filmmaker’s experience as a second-generation Chinese American and her relationship with her grandmother from Malaysia. It tells a story that is both personal and universal in its themes of migration, displacement, and loss. Premiere, 2005.
