A Community of FriendsTells the inspiring story about the Chinatown Branch Library in Downtown Los Angeles, founded in by a "community of friends" who realized their dreams of a public library in their neighborhood in 1977, after the lobbying the LA City Council and rallying the Chinese American community for seven years. Premiere, 2012.
homecomingWeaving old family photos and Super 8 film footage with contemporary videos, Homecoming recounts the filmmaker’s experience as a second-generation Chinese American and her relationship with her grandmother from Malaysia. It tells a story that is both personal and universal in its themes of migration, displacement, and loss. Premiere, 2005.
