A Community of Friends 

Tells the inspiring story about the Chinatown Branch Library in Downtown Los Angeles, founded in by a community of friends who realized their dreams of a public library in their neighborhood. The Friends of the Chinatown Library (FOCL) lobbied the Los Angeles City Council, rallying the Chinese American communities in the greater LA area for seven years before breaking ground in 1997. Dir. Vivian Wong. Premiere, 2012. 

Homecoming (2005)

Weaving old family photos and Super 8 film footage with contemporary videos, Homecoming recounts the filmmaker’s experience as a second-generation Chinese American and her relationship with her grandmother from Malaysia. It tells a story that is both personal and universal in its themes of migration, displacement, and loss. Dir. Vivian Wong. Premiere, 2005.​
